The hotel building with a grass roof is specially designed and adapted to the ground and landscape. The long lines in the landscape characterize Hotel Føroyar from the outside. The building is a part of the surrounding nature, as if it were carved in the rocks, only the rocks now appear to be glass shimmering in the light.

Inside Hotel Føroyar is an eternally changing play of light and shade, between long dark passages and light and friendly rooms. All rooms share the impressive view over the city.

The buildings are sparse with colours and preparation, but on the other hand adding to our sensuous experiences. Rustic materials are frequently used and Hotel Føroyar still has this rustic appearance, especially walls and stairs.
