Aurora - New Odense University Hospital and the Faculty of Medical Science

The proposal reached the final, but will not be realised. It was designed by a consortium, consisting of FRIIS & MOLTKE, Henning Larsen Architects, TKT, Cowi and Rambøll Denmark. SLA Landskab and NNE Pharmaplan were sub-consultants.

The jury’s argument - in brief: “The proposal is a distinctive building complex, which will perfectly support the functional requirements of the hospital. The proposal is the competition’s best proposal for a coherent treatment building and its location in relation to emergency reception and clinical clusters. The proposal also has a beautiful relationship to the countryside. The proposal for the Faculty of Medical Science and the amalgamation of the University and Hospital deserves to be realised.”
