150 student and family homes will be a landmark in the city’s skyline

The idea of the project on the tendered site on the corner of Sohngårdsholmsvej and Universitetsboulevarden is to create a distinctive, densified development that matches the plans for a future urban context, which in this area features wide, green boulevards. In the future, the site will be a strong urban hub for expanded public transport in Aalborg, and the future flow of people is crucial in terms of the layout of the development.

The development is a densified composition of a block with a variety of heights and a tower positioned on a base. Like a sculptural entity on the busy corner, the development will come across as an unmistakable landmark in the city’s skyline.

The development will consist of a two-storey base housing shops, offices and parking, on which a housing block/courtyard complex will be located, joined to a residential tower. The building will comprise a total of 150 homes with space for business and retail.
