Modular system for enclosure, room partitioning and notice boards
The VIP range was created for the company, Borks Patenttavler in Kolding, and was then purchased by the Swedish company, Abstracta, which is now dealer for the range.
When designing the range, a clear, harmonic sense of wholeness was a major priority. The idea is for the products to retain their own identity, but to be subordinate to the architecture of a space. The result is a timeless design, finished and simplified to perfection.
The collaboration with Borks and the architect, Ove Rix began in 1998. The collaboration helped to enhance Borks’ corporate culture, in which aesthetics play just as important a role as concepts of craftsmanship and quality. In FRIIS & MOLTKE’s work on architecture and design, the philosophy of a project is of the essence. The goal is wholeness – to create a strong link between form and function.
The design is so simple that communication is not disturbed. It enhances communication of a message.
