Architectural environment for the optimisation of welfare and learning for a pilot project at Søndervang School

FRIIS & MOLTKE acted as advisors for the design of the ‘Motion Trail’ at Søndervang School, located in Viby in southern Aarhus. The School is a typical school building from 1969, featuring long, straight corridors that connect the school’s rooms. So the plan at Søndervang School was to activate the 1.2 km of corridor space, using it to create several activity areas and room for contemplation.
