BIM stands for ‘Building Information Modelling’ and refers to a complete digital model of a building.

BIM enables us to optimise and guarantee not only the quality of the actual design, but also of the project design period and execution phase. BIM helps us guarantee positive, cross-disciplinary cooperation between everyone involved in the project, creating a clear-cut cohesion between model, drawings, descriptions and calculations. For instance, the information in the digital model can be used to simulate the building’s energy consumption, to calculate the price and to plan the construction schedule etc. The models can also form the basis for operational and maintenance systems.
