Re-launch of classic FRIIS & MOLTKE pendant lamp from 1954
The classic FRIIS & MOLTKE pendant lamp was designed in 1954 – the same year that the practice was established – and the priorities were simplicity and functionality. Over the years, the lamp has won several awards and has become an icon of Danish design. Its simple, timeless look, makes the lamp both modern and classic, and it fits perfectly into many homes.
The lamps were not produced for many years, but are now being relaunched by REWIRED. These new versions have been sensitively updated and manufactured in Denmark in a better quality than ever before. This steel lamp with beautiful, matt surfaces is built to last. We have also designed a new range, FM2014 – a range of lamps in the same range in sizes never previously available.
The lamp is manufactured in 7 different sizes (3 x FM1954 and 4 x FM2014) and is available in black/black, white/black and dark blue/black.

A compromous design - classic, simple, rigid and with an edge
Ove Rix, Architect and former Design Manager for FRIIS & MOLTKE Design took part in designing the original FM lamp series in 1954. He also helped updating the classic design of the lamp in for Rewired's relaunch in collaboration with the current team in FRIIS & MOLTKE Design.
