Light, inviting interior design solution for the lobby and museum shop
In the context of the renovation and expansion of Skagens Museum, the new lobby and associated shop are were given a light, inviting interior design in excellent harmony with the old Plesner building and the new slate exhibition building.
The beautiful Douglas wooden floors were the inspiration for the new counters, shelving and shop fittings, which were also constructed of solid Douglas planks.
Small mobile islands with a large, flexible shelving wall make up the overall idea of the museum shop, where the beautiful Timber plank tables, designed by FRIIS & MOLTKE for Getama are used for the display of art books, souvenirs etc.
Above the counter hang FM1954 solid, polished brass pendant lamps, designed by FRIIS & MOLTKE for Rewired.
